  • Taurie Roman MS, LCMHC

    Training:

    I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Canisius College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the Rochester Institute of Technology. I currently hold a license to practice in North Carolina, LCMHC.

    Experience:

    In my work as a counselor, I strive to promote change. I believe through the process of counseling change occurs internally and externally. My goal is to help individuals develop insight into what is getting in the way of them living the life they want, and to be able to start responding in their life in ways that align with their values.

    While I have experience working with many different types of issues, I am passionate about working with the autism population and their surrounding caregivers.

    I have experience working with children, teens, families, and adults in the following areas:

    -Eating Disorders

    -Attention Deficit Disorder

    -Anxiety

    -Depression

    -Autism

    -Grief and Loss

    -Relationship issues and communication

    -Stress management & coping skills

    -Self-esteem

    Counseling Approach:

    My counseling approach is heavily reliant on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

  • Sara Pascucci MS, LCMHC

    Training:

    I received a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Missouri.

    Experience:

    I have over 7 years of experience as a mental health therapist. I am highly empathic, non-judgmental, and a good listener. I listen with the goal of getting to the root of the problem and helping individuals build motivation to reach their goals. My goal is to join with my clients to help them build strategies to overcome challenges and become more successful and fulfilled. 

    I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults in the following areas:

    -Depression

    -Relational issues

    -Parenting issues

    -Trauma and PTSD

    -Grief and Loss

    -Life Transitions

    -Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD)

    -Marital and Premarital

    I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, including person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, attachment theory, acceptance and commitment therapy, child-centered play and conscious parenting.
